Resonances: Things Unseen from the Barracks
The Storehouse, Berwick Barracks, Ravensdowne, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, TD15 1DF
The exhibition explores themes around unseen and hidden aspects of the building, marks left by the people who have passed through the space, and the layers of memory built up over time.
The Living Barracks Project is a partnership between English Heritage, The Maltings (Berwick) Trust, Kings Own Scottish Borderers, Northumberland County Council and BBHT. It is breathing new life into Berwick’s historic Barracks, restoring their place at the heart of the town’s cultural and community life. Ahead of the site’s full reopening in 2028, an inspiring programme of art, heritage and community projects is already unfolding - created with and for the people of Berwick, thanks to the generous support of The National Lottery Heritage Fund and the UK Government’s Cultural Development Fund. Together, we’re rediscovering what the Barracks have been, will be and could become.
