RNLI Happisburgh Lifeboat Station Tour
Lifeboat Station, Cart Gap Road, Happisburgh, Norwich, Norfolk, NR12 0QL
Happisburgh has a long association with the sea. From 1810 to the current day, lives have been saved by boat from the beach. The RNLI has had a presence here since 1866, when the first publicly funded lifeboat was stationed at Happisburgh to save lives at sea. Come and see what we do now, and get a flavour of how things were done back in the days of horses, rowing boats and coastal sailing ships carrying cargo and people around our shores. We have put together a wealth of information for visitors, and will have sea going crew, shore crew and visits crew on hand to show how things have developed over the centuries, and give you a picture of how the RNLI continues to save lives at sea in it's 201st year of operation.
