Roman Heritage Tour

Visit the Lunt Roman Fort as part of Heritage Open Days 2025 and join our costumed Roman soldiers, as they lead groups around this historic site, dating back to 60AD. Take in the sites of Baginton and further afield, as you climb up our newly renovated Ramparts.
Experience the world famous Gyrus, where it is believed Ancient Roman soldiers trained their cavalry, ready for battle. Explore the reconstructed Granary and learn about the Roman Legions, their armour and the other items on display from Culture Coventry's collections.
This two-hour tour is designed for adult audiences and involves being outdoors, walking on uneven ground and will go ahead whatever the weather, so please dress accordingly.
