Tracking our heritage to our Roots takes us on a journey to discover more about the railway folk who lived, loved and travelled our line from 1846.

Routes to Roots explores our stations histories as we tell the story of the people who from 1846 served their communities, working on, living in or being connected with the railway line from County School to Wymondham and beyond. Meet Lord Wodehouse, the person who sold the land so that the line could be built, the signalman who operates the levers during a tour of Church Lane signal box and hear the stories of the gate keeper and his daughters who lived as the house opposite the station and who worked at the brush factory all research with the help pf our partners "Findmypast". Tours of the signal box will be operating throughout the day so make so come and join us for a fun packed day of railway living histories.
