Rye Castle museum is housed within Ypres Tower, a thirteenth century defensive tower constructed as part of the towns defences. It contains items relating to the maritime history of Rye, defence, smuggling and the prison.

There is normally an entrance fee, but on Saturday 12th September entry to the Castle and museum will be free all day.
