Scarborough 'Looking Up' Architectural Guided walk
Old Parcels Office, Off Westborough, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 1TU
The ground floor levels of shops and other properties in our town centres are becoming increasingly uniform and bland but at upper floor levels there is often a wealth of architectural interest which also tells us about the history of the building and the development of the town. Chris Hall is an archaeologist and historic buildings expert and on this guided walk from the Old Parcels Office through the town centre he will show you some of the architectural and historical interest to be seen including some designs by the well known Scarborough architect Frank Tugwell.
Meet outside the main entrance to the Old Parcels Office Art Space which is located at the far end of the railway station car park. The Old Parcels office will be hosting a 'Sunday Best' exhibition. Guided walk will last about 1.5 to 2 hours
