2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Bilton Historical Society is staging an Open Day exhibition presenting information relating to the impact that the Second World War had on the lives of Bilton's inhabitants.

Bilton Historical Society is staging an Open Day exhibition in Bilton Community Centre, Bilton Lane, Harrogate to mark the 80th anniversary of the ending of the Second World War.

The exhibition will include information, photographs and artifacts to illustrate the impact that the Second World War had on the lives of Bilton's inhabitants.

A wide range of topics will be presented including; those who served and died, school life, the relocation of the Air Ministry to Harrogate, the Bilton bomb, the fuel depot, Italian prisoners of war, VE-Day celebrations and Welcome Home parades.
