Explore Sibsey Trader Windmill, a restored six-sailed Victorian landmark. Discover traditional milling, fascinating engineering and the story of one of Lincolnshire's last working windmills.

Rising above the surrounding fenland, this massive Victorian mill was one of the last windmills to be built in Lincolnshire. It milled locally grown wheat, barley and oats into flour and animal feed, and only ceased commercial operation in the 1950s.
English Heritage has recently completed a major conservation project to bring the mill back into full working order, restoring its six sails, fantail and cap, which rotates on a geared curb so that the sails face the wind.
