This small museum, in a former Weaver's Cottage, comprises: downstairs the family living quarters of a hand-loom weaver c1900; and upstairs a working handloom along with fascinating displays and artefacts linked to our textile heritage.

This small Textile Heritage Centre in a one-up one-down former Hand-loom Weaver's Cottage comprises: downstairs, the family living-quarters, maintained & furnished as a West Riding weaver's family home would have been c1900; and upstairs an authentic working hand-loom, incorporating a flying shuttle and a rising box, along with fascinating displays and artefacts linked to our textile heritage. Guides will be present for a visit of approximately. one hour and there will be daily hand-loom demonstrations from 1300 until 1600. Leaflets for self-guided walks along the Skelmanthorpe Village Trail will also be available.
