Social Brew: People's Archive Special
The Yard, Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, CV37 6TE
Come and join us at Escape Arts & Heritage Centre to learn about the town's hidden histories, and see how we are celebrating them in The People's Archive of Stratford-upon-Avon, documenting past and present.
Creative drop-in activities will be running throughout the afternoon. There will also be a display of work from our youth artists celebrating their landmark moments and places in Stratford.
We’ll have a wonderful range of interactive presentations where you can learn about the following:
📮 Frederick Savage, working for Stratford: a biography of a beloved postman.
🎭 “Let’s Go Hand in Hand”: how Stratford’s theatrical families built their lives in the community.
🌱 Creative responses to the benefits of interacting with the great outdoors and Stratford’s natural history.
⛵️This working life: the historic experiences of brewers, boaters and more in Stratford’s past.
We are thrilled to be joined at our event by Second Thoughts Drama Group, who will bring these everyday histories to life!
Our team will be on hand to share how we will share these "hidden histories" in The People's Archive of Stratford-upon-Avon.
