Drawing the Past - A Family Workshop

It’s a special year for Scarborough, 400 years since the discovery of the Spa waters which set the town on its way to becoming the countries first seaside resort but what about the woman who first discovered them?
This fun and creative workshop aims at exploring more about Thomasina Farrer, the local woman who first found the spa waters. Her story spans civil war, civic pride and local philanthropy.
Participants will be guided to create their own unique mini comic inspired by Thomasina’s life and times.
This workshop is suitable for children aged 8+, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult, due to space restrictions please book for all attendees. Accompanying adults are invited to take part if they would like.
