St Cuthbert's is a grade 1 listed church building that has stood for many years in the Market Place in Darlington, and is known for it's architectural grandeur. Experience our historical building and visit our bell tower.

St. Cuthbert's Church in Darlington, England, has a rich history dating back to the 12th century. It is a Grade I listed building, known for its architectural grandeur and connections to the life and legacy of St. Cuthbert. The church's history includes its role as a resting place for St. Cuthbert's remains during his journey, its establishment as a collegiate church, major restorations, and subsequent adaptations.

The building underwent major restoration during the Victorian era by the architect George Gilbert Scott, and is now currently looking at it's next restoration to bring its use into the 21st Century whilst keeping the historical features.

On 20th September we will be celebrating 200 years of the Darlington to Stockton Railway with lots of additional events going on throughout the day. Come down and join in the celebrations.
