St Georges Everton Open Day

St. Georges Everton, Northumberland Terrace, Liverpool, Merseyside, L5 3QG

  • Multiple dates available
  • Online & In person
  • Pre-booking not required

St Georges Everton is the worlds first cast iron church. Built over 200 years ago, we are a grade 1 listed building and will be open for the public to come and explore our unique architecture and learn a little about the history.

The church is open for three days, letting people come and have a look round at their own leisure or to have a small guided tour that will be starting on the hour each hour. People are welcome to use our space to sit and pray, or just browse our stunning and unique architecture, including cast iron columns, cast iron detailing in the ceiling, and our original Victorian stain glass window. Our churchyard also holds the graves of many influential people in Liverpool's history. Tea/ coffee and cake facilities will be on offer, as well as our church gift stall being open. The church is accessible and there are toilets on site.

As well as our open day, a video will be posted on our website and YouTube page to show off the beautiful architecture and give a little information on the history of the building.
