Church open to visitors and history buffs alike

A chance for the general public to see the oldest parish church in eastern Enfield (founded 1830) and its adjoining churchyard. Built in the Commissioners' Gothic style, with additions and changes since then, including a modern chancel after a fire in 1967. Grade 2 listed, St James's Parish Church in Enfield Highway is one of the few heritage properties in eastern Enfield, and very much worth a visit.
