Early Norman Church.

Early Norman church in the old Parish of Cowley. Former church of Father Benson (founder of the Cowley Fathers). Former garrison church of the Ox and Bucks Light Infantry. Parish Church of William Morris (Lord Nuffield) who attended the old school in Beauchamp Lane. Beauchamp Lane is a Conservation Area, showing parts of old Cowley.
Early scratch sun dials, Saxon font, memorial plaques to fallen of Ox and Bucks Light Infantry. Fine organ rescued from St Martin’s Church at Carfax. Unique reredos screen.
An interesting William Morris trail is available showing his various links between St James Church and St Francis Church (both parts of the Parish of Cowley)
