St Mary’s Church is a beautiful historic building in the heart of Liscard. Recorded as a designated Grade 2 listed building, the church has served this part of Wallasey since 1877. It has 8 Bells that are played regularly and will be played on our Heritage day on the 13th September.
We are a warm, vibrant, and welcoming church. Our doors are open to everyone regardless of where you come from or where you are on your spiritual journey.
Our services of Worship and Prayer are rooted in the rich traditions of the Anglican Church, with a modern contemporary style which would be considered low church, yet we strive to make everyone feel at home, regardless of their background or beliefs.
The interior of our church is stunning with stained windows such as those with designs from the William Morris and Lancashire stables of artistry, and one from renowned designer Master of Glass: Charles Eamer Kempe, 1837-1907
Our church is dedicated to embodying the principles of the Chester Diocese, striving to be "Together in Christ, Sharing Hope."
Our beautiful garden we is tended regularly and filled with flowers that are added to our mature plants and enjoyed by all.
On Heritage day we will offer strawberry scones with clotted cream and teas and coffees with a smile , things for the kiddies to do as well , such as "Hook the Duck: for little ones and "Crash the Cans" for those a little bit bigger .Come and see us on this glorious 'Heritage Day '
