St Mary's grade I listed church will be open all day. There will be an exhibition of lace and lace making, and a talk on 'Lace Stories', by members of the Wymeswold Textile Art Group.

The Wymeswold Textile Art Group has been collecting lace to showcase the craft skills involved in creating pieces. Lace-making was also an industry that involved women and girls in Wymeswold, as the village lies only 12 miles from Nottingham. There will be a day-long exhibition of lace and lace making called 'Lace. Anonymous, Technical, Decorative Textile Art. Surviving the Centuries', curated by Lorraine Ellison and Janet Donnell.

At 1400 there will be a talk 'Lace Stories' by Lorraine Ellison.

The exhibition and talk will take place in St Mary's church, which will be open all day. There is also a display on local church history and a self-guided tour can be taken. There will be refreshments available.
