The Sheffield Historic Buildings Trust (SHBT) will be leading a 1 to 2 hour tour, focussing on St Michael's Mortuary Chapel and other key historic buildings, graves and monuments in City Road Cemetery, Sheffield.

The Sheffield Historic Buildings Trust (SHBT) is a young charity, which aims to save and bring new life to historic buildings at risk in Sheffield. St Michael's Roman Catholic Mortuary Chapel is one such building, and was identified as one of Britain's Top 10 Most Endangered Buildings by the Victorian Society in April this year.
SHBT aims to raise the profile of the building, as well as highlighting other historically significant buildings, graves and monuments in the Grade II Listed historic landscape of City Road Cemetery. As well as visiting sites within the cemetery, SHBT will be discussing their aspirations for St Michael's Chapel, and similar historic buildings at risk in the city.
(NOTE: St Michael's Chapel is in a dangerous condition, so it will not be possible to enter the building).
