Discover the history & tradition of the Curfew Bell, how the practice has evolved in Sandwich, meet some ringers; see the Great Bell (15cwt) and even try to ring. We are the only town in the UK that still rings Curfew by hand daily.

The experience involves climbing a tight spiral stair to the Ringing Floor, it is the only access route. Then some of the Curfew Team will talk about curfew & give a demonstration. A new stair takes visitors up through the clock level to pass between the bells. The stairs continue to the top where there is an external walkway around the tower.
