St Peter's Church Pedmore

St Peter's Pedmore was built rebuilt in 1869 but there are architectural features from the 1250 church that stood before on the same land. A feature that stands St Peter's Pedmore apart from many other local churches is the tympanum over the entry door to church. A relief sculpture depicting Christ with the four apostles Matthew, Mark, Luke and John has been for hundreds of years the first thing people have seen on entering the church.
The churchyard is of interest to those who are interested in local history and contains graves of important people that some of our local streets are named after.
