Grade II listed church (J. Medland Taylor Architect) which has a banded slate roof and windows with stained glass by William Morris & Co (Sir Burne-Jones) and Henry Dearle. There will be numerous displays including Scouting paraphernalia.

The church dates from 1868 when it was consecrated and is a wonderful example of unusual architecture for the time. The building will be open on 19th & 20th September from 10am to 4pm and on Sunday 21st September from 2 noon to 4pm.

Activities will include slide shows (which also cover events in Hyde past and present), information about the Hyde Lads' Club, information and pictures about St Stephen's Church in Flowery Field, St John's Church in Godley and also of course St Thomas' itself. Births, Deaths and Marriages Record books are available to view from both St John's and St Thomas' as well as plans of both graveyards. Silverware and vestments will be on display.

There are three steps up through the main entrance. The doors are narrow due to the architecture of the building. A ramp is available on request.
