A chance to find out about part of Stamford.

Starting from Stamford Library on the High Street we shall walk down St Paul's Street and Ryhall Road. Passing the sites of two medieval churches, two Friaries, one of Stamford's Warden Posts in World War Two, closed public houses, Engineering Works, the Workhouse, a Children's Home and a link to the abdication of King Edward VIIIth. We will divert to where bombs landed in World War Two and the childhood home of a Young Adult author who has had her work on British TV.
