Walberswick has a fascinating range of architectural styles from thatched arts and Crafts, red brick homes to cutting edge eco gems.
Discover the oldest building and the oldest house in the village. Why was Frank Jennings known as the Magpie Architect? Why did an old Merchant's hall end up being lifted from Lavenham into the village? What do the people who live in them think of Jenning's houses?

Try a still life drawing of wood. brick and stone. All materials supplied.
Saturday 20 September pop-up workshop for children and young adults to paint houses around the village green with guidance and instruction from established Walberswick artist Helen Riches. All materials will be supplied and booking is necessary.
Free bespoke family architectural trail - you are invited to collect a route map from the Heritage Hut and explore the houses in the village to discover and reveal the clues.
Discover latest news from the consultant entomologist and ecological consultant on the indigenous wildlife and bird species who make their homes, often hidden from view in the village and the marshes and their importance to breeding patterns.

Artist led workshops run on both Saturdays, lasting between 1-2 hours. All must pre-register giving name, contact details and age of child. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. book via eventbrite link below

Accessibility details

Parking is located about 5 minutes walk away in one of two village car parks. Both operate on a parking App. No cash parking. Please note Walberswick is dog friendly, but the village does not have any pavements, so care must be taken. Please walk facing the oncoming traffic to ensure safety for all.
