Stones Methodist Church Heritage Festival Day

Stones Methodist Church is open for viewing - see our New Community Space and features of interest.
See Sarah Crawshaw's Grave Stone Memorial - she had 397 descendants and is a Guinness Book Record Holder.
There has been a Methodist Church at this site since 1802 and the Sunday School has been here since 1815 celebrating it's 211th year this year.
A display of historic photos and some archive material wiolll be available for viewing.
At 12.30 pm a 20 minute guided tour of the building & graveyard will take place weather permitting.
Light Refreshments of hot & cold drinks with cakes & biscuits will be served. - Donations for Church Funds

Directions:

Take Exit 22 of M62 to Ripponden turn left at traffic lights in Ripponden. Stones Church is one mile up Rochdale Road (A58) on the left hand side. Car Park is before the church or park on the main road if full.
