Stories Behind the Uniforms
The Old Court House, 63 Long Street, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, GL8 8AA
The Tetbury police Museum and Courtroom is a fabulously preserved Victorian building that tells the story of policing and social history in the pretty market town of Tetbury in the Cotswolds. It is volunteer run and they do all the research into past stories and delight in telling them to visitors. Volunteers will be on hand on Friday and Saturday.
Explore the cells, meet Fred and Sgt. Smith. Go upstairs to the courtroom to hear the case in session and listen to stories from the volunteer who is on hand. See photographs of constables and hear about their work and how their families lived here too.
