Free entry to Stourbridge Glass Museum on Saturday 13th September. At 2 Pm hear Graham Fisher MBE share the Museum’s story from idea to its 2022 opening. A rare chance to explore local heritage and meet a key figure in its creation.

Join us for a special Heritage Open Day event at Stourbridge Glass Museum, featuring a talk by Graham Fisher MBE, author of Stourbridge Glass Museum – How it Came Into Being.

At 2:00 PM, Graham will share the fascinating story behind the creation of the Museum, offering personal insights into its development and the people who made it possible. A long-time advocate for the region’s rich glassmaking heritage, Graham has been closely involved with the Museum since its early planning stages and became a trustee in 2013. The Museum officially opened its doors in 2022.

In celebration of Heritage Open Days, entry to the Museum will be free for all visitors on the day. Explore the stunning collection of historic and contemporary glass, watch live glassmaking and enjoy the opportunity to meet and talk with Graham Fisher himself.

Whether you're a local history enthusiast, a glass art lover, or simply curious to learn more about this unique cultural institution, this is a wonderful chance to discover the story behind one of the Black Country’s most significant heritage sites.
