A mini “therapy through pottery” experience
This welcoming mini drop-in session invites visitors to explore the calming and creative power of clay through short pottery wheel tasters guided by Kateryna at KeKo Club. Inspired by the idea of “therapy through pottery”, the experience encourages participants to pause, unwind and reconnect through hands-on making.
Visitors can enjoy relaxed 15-minute wheel sessions throughout the event in a light-hearted and supportive atmosphere. No experience is needed and there is no pressure to create perfect ceramics - the focus is on creativity, mindfulness, experimentation and fun.
Working with clay offers a unique sensory and creative experience that helps people slow down and step away from the pressures of everyday routines. Through touch, movement and artistic expression, participants can experience the grounding and restorative qualities of pottery while discovering traditional ceramic techniques and heritage crafts that continue to connect communities across generations.
Presented as part of Heritage Open Days 2026, the event responds to the national theme “Everyday Histories” by celebrating everyday creativity, handmade traditions and the importance of wellbeing, balance and shared creative experiences in modern life.
This masterclass is organised by Ukraine Appeal charity (registration number 1199404) as part of Heritage Open Days 2026.
