The Avalon Marshes Centre is wheelchair-accessible with flat paths, accessible toilets (no RADAR key needed), and four disabled parking spaces. The 1.5-mile guided walk is on flat but uneven surfaces (gravel, woodchip, peat, log tracks) and may not suit wheelchairs or walking aids. There are turn-back points to return to the accessible path. No toilets on the reserve—please use the Centre beforehand. For access queries, call 01458 860120 or email [email protected].
Dogs are not allowed on Shapwick Heath NNR. However, assistance animals are welcome. They should wear an identifying jacket, harness, or brightly coloured collar and lead. For more information contact [email protected].
