Talk & Glide: Taster Trip on MK Community Boat Electra with A Short History of MK Canals

Join the volunteer shore crew for a 25-minute, illustrated history of why and how the Grand Union canal – and its “arms” - came to be built through the area that is now Milton Keynes and its influence on the people living nearby. There are seven generations of history to MK Canals, from their start to their heyday, from their decline to their revival, and now their repurposing to meet the needs of the future. Then on-board MK Community Boat Electra to experience modern electric boating on a 25-minute circular cruise on the Grand Union canal.
Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September. Learn about the history surrounding Wolverton Park with cruises South to New Bradwell and North to the Galleon along the beautiful Grand Union Canal.
Notes:
These events are suitable for adults and children over the age of ten. You cannot book for under-tens on these trips. Electra seats 12 guests per event, including one Lift User (wheelchair/rollator max 700mm wide).
There is a toilet on board.
