Come to the Thames Chase Forest Centre for our Heritage Open Day. This open day in partnership with the Upminster Windmill will celebrate the history of both Thames Chase and the Windmill.

There will be talks on Broadfields Farm, the Essex Barn and Upminster Windmill. Interesting talks, a wonderful setting and complimentary refreshments, this is not one to miss if you have a keen interest in local history!
We shall be unveiling Thames Chase’s new oral history listening post that will showcase six stories from local people about their experiences of WWII. This listening post is a step forward in exhibiting the social history of the Thames Chase Community Forest, so make sure you come along to check it out.
11.00am - 12.30pm: Talks from Thames Chase and Upminster Windmill
13.30pm - 14.00pm: Unveiling of Oral History Listening Post
