The Armitt: Exhibitions & Architecture eye-spy trail
Rydal Road, Ambleside, Cumbria, LA22 9BL
The Armitt is once again opening its doors for Heritage Open Days. This year you can explore our temporary exhibitions for free on Saturday 20 September, including:
Beatrix Potter's summers in the Lake District
A Battle of Ambleside
Alfred Wainwright
We'll also have a special "eye spy" trail around the museum focused on the theme of "Architecture". Collect a trail sheet from reception and see how observant you are at spotting all the architectural features in our exhibitions!

There is no onsite parking for visitors except for some accessible parking spaces - one in front of the museum and two in front of the neighbouring building. Please note the museum has a chairlift which moves between the ground floor and first floor for the displays. This can accommodate average-sized wheelchairs, walking aids and small motorised scooters only.
