The Crafts that Built Buxton: a walking tour to explore examples of the historic crafts needed when caring for older properties. We will learn about some of the past tradesmen of Buxton and see the buildings where they had their workshops.

Join Kate Dickson in partnership with Buxton Civic Association, to learn about some of the past tradesmen of Buxton and see the buildings where they had their workshops.

Duration 60 to 90 minutes; walking on pavements. Please wear sensible footwear for walking and wear appropriate clothing (bring an umbrella!) for the weather conditions on the day. The walk will take place across Buxton town where we will walk on public footpaths which may be along busy roads. Participants should have a reasonable level of fitness as some uphill walking may be required during the walk.

Meet by the old market cross (stump!) on the south side of Buxton Town Hall, on the Market Place, SK17 9EL.

Headsets will be provided to enable everyone to hear.

Well-behaved dogs on a short lead are welcome to join this walk.
