The Halls will be open from 10am-4pm on 13-16 September 2026 for those wishing to have a self-guided look around. Enter via the South Porch and enjoy the grandeur of the whole complex now that the renovations have been completed.

On a daily basis The Halls is open for ticketed/arranged events and performances. But this year we are opening up the doors for visitors to have a look round post renovations as part of Heritage Open Days.

Do you have a memory of The Halls? Did you take part in a school awards assembly or concert? Have you seen a performance here? Have you enjoyed a pint or two at the Norwich Beer Festival? We'd love to hear your stories.

The Halls is a Grade I listed medieval friary and a major cultural hub at St Andrew's Plain. The iconic home of St Andrew’s and Blackfriars Halls has been revitalised as a modern cultural space for everyone. Major investment and expert restoration now bring together protected heritage and exciting new possibilities.

Inside, you’ll find a brighter, more accessible venue ready for concerts, community gatherings, exhibitions, celebrations, and standout performances.

With upgraded tech, improved access, vibrant social areas and carefully restored historic details, The Halls is ready to spark the next generation of memories.

Aim for St Georges St, by the St Andrew's Brewhouse pub. Entrance to the complex is via the South Porch which will be marked with Heritage Open Day bunting.

Due to the Grade 1 listed status, small areas of the complex are not fully accessible.
