Also known locally as Nelson’s Monument. Completed in 1817, it is a tribute to the life and achievements of Vice-Admiral Lord Nelson.

The Norfolk Naval Pillar was erected in 1817, the first of the Nelson Columns. Climb the 217 steps to take in the break taking view from the top.

A Britannia figure is on the top, facing towards Nelson's birthplace with the sea behind her.

The 44m tall monument is a tribute to the life and achievements of Vice-Admiral Lord Nelson.

In order to climb the stairs, you must be fit and well.
