The building was erected by Augustine Steward who made it his home around 1545, since then it has hosted many distinguished visitors, including Queen Elizabeth I who visited the premises in 1578 and observed a pageant from a first floor window.
Explore inside the 250-year-old Club for one day. The Norfolk Club is a Private Members Club that is not open to the general public. The Club building is Georgian and was previously a home, a bank and a school before becoming the Club.
