Step inside the Grade II* listed People’s Hall and discover the future of one of Nottingham’s most cherished landmarks! The Nottingham Historic Buildings Trust is preparing this extraordinary space for a major transformation next year, and we are throwing open our doors to share its past, present, and exciting next chapter with you.

For nearly 200 years, the People’s Hall has stood as a space for all of Nottingham. Before the building undergoes its big makeover, join us for a special Heritage Open Day to explore the hidden stories buried within its walls and learn how the Trust is managing its revival.

Throughout the day, you can uncover the hall's rich heritage through our curated selection of historical artifacts, embark on a guided tour of the famous—and allegedly haunted—top floor, and jump into hands-on interactive activities designed for all ages. Whether you are a history lover, a curious neighbor, or bringing the family out for a day of discovery, there is plenty to see and do.

Above all, this open day is about community. The People’s Hall was built to serve Nottingham, and that is a legacy the Trust is dedicated to honouring. As we prepare for next year’s project, we want to build its future together with you. Drop in, soak in the atmosphere, and share your vision: What can this space be for you?

There are no on-site parking spaces. The nearest car parking is available at nearby city centre car parks. The best options are: Stoney Street Car Park (circa 3-minute walk), Lace Market Car Park (circa 5-minute walk), and Victoria Centre Car Park (circa 7-minute walk). The People's Hall is undergoing restoration. Currently, the building lacks level access. The ground floor requires ascending 8 steps from the street. The building also lacks toilet facilities. All guests should make necessary arrangements before arriving on site.
