Toll houses were often built on turnpike roads to collect fees for the manitenance of the roads. This one is sited on the Great North Road, the main roadway between London and Edinburgh which originally passed through Berwick-upon-Tweed. Here's your chance to see inside this repurposed building which still retains some of its original features.
