Step back into medieval Coventry at The Weaver’s House, a lovingly restored gem from 1540. Experience the life of John Croke, a narrow-loom weaver, and his family. Discover the medieval garden with plants used for food, medicine, and household purposes. Conveniently located near the city centre, accessible via the subway from medieval Spon Street. Refreshments available. Note: The solar room with replicat loom is closed during HODs

Signposted with finger post signs. A short walk from the city centre after passing along medieval Spon Street and under the ring road. Car parks nearby in The Butts and some on street parking in Upper Spon Street

Accessibility details

High step up to front door – accessible sloped entrance to the side of the building through garden. Some uneven ground in garden. High steps in garden and property, deep thresholds within the house and general uneven surfaces due to age of building. Access to the garden by wheelchair through side gate and sloped pathway. Access to the first room of the House only by wheelchairs. Turning space is limited and not suitable for large wheelchairs.
