Thornbury Town Hall

Town Hall, Old Police Station, 35 High Street, Bristol, Bristol, BS35 2AR

  • 13 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Guided tours are available of the building, parts of which are not usually open to the public. Your guide will take you through its previous uses, from a tavern, to a courtroom, to a police station!

Experience being locked in a dark police cell, and view some local, historical artefacts. The building is over three floors, including a large cellar, and has kept a lot of its original features. We will provide an insight into it's history, and, in keeping with this years Heritage Open Day theme of 'Architecture' you can see drawings of the Town Hall through it's developments through the centuries.
