Wenlock Abbey, Bull Ring, Much Wenlock, Shropshire, TF13 6EN
As part of this year’s Heritage Open Days, audiences are invited to enjoy a unique afternoon at Wenlock Abbey with acclaimed impressionist, comedian and pianist Alistair McGowan.
The event begins at 2:30pm with a short guided tour of the historic abbey, offering visitors the chance to explore the remarkable heritage and atmosphere of this extraordinary venue. Guests will then move into the Great Hall for a 50 minute performance from Alistair McGowan and his wife, the celebrated singer Charlotte Page. Accompanied by pianist Lana Bode, they bring us their personal selection of some of the popular songs and the rarely-heard poems of the great Noel Coward in a poignant, amusing and romantic show. Think you know Coward ? Think again!
This special Heritage Open Days event is free to attend, however advance booking is essential as capacity is limited to just 40 guests. Please note that due to the historic nature of the venue and access via stairs, the performance space is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

Wenlock Abbey, listed Grade I, was originally part of the Cluniac Wenlock Priory (now English Heritage). Behind its glorious Renaissance façade, the prior’s private apartments are barely altered.
