A number of notable scientists were Quakers.

The subjects of this talk will be William Allen, Pharmacist who gave his name to the pharmaceutical company Allen and Hanbury; John Dalton, Chemist who derived the atomic weights of elements he experimented with; and Kathleen Lonsdale, Crystallographer who discovered how to determine the precise structure of crystals. The talk will encompass both their scientific contributions to knowledge as well as the impact of their Quaker faith on their lives and actions.
