The tour includes a brief presentation on the Tyne Tunnels before we visit the tunnel's control room. We will then take a journey either through the tunnel (transport provided) to the south extract building where you will get to see the holding tank & pumps that hold the water required in the event of a fire in the tunnels.
You will also have the opportunity to experience the emergency escape tunnel by walking a short distance into the tunnel before we return to our offices to complete the tour.
