Step into the heart of Ukraine at Ukrainian Wonders, a unique event dedicated to showcasing the country’s rich heritage. Held at the Ukrainian Community Centre, this special day invites the British public to discover Ukraine’s architectural marvels, deep-rooted history, and vibrant cultural traditions.
What to Expect
12:00 - 1 pm - listen to an interactive talk about architecture in Ukraine before and during the war (English, upstairs)
12:00 - 1 pm - a masterclass for children aged 6-12, making a Ukrainian traditional house (English and Ukrainian, downstairs)
1 - 2 pm - poetry reading from the Ukrainian poet, Matvii Smirnov. Discover Ukrainian literature in English (English and Ukrainian)
2 - 3 pm - try Ukrainian food with vegetarian options available. Mingle and make Ukrainian friends, buy Ukrainian arts and crafts
3 - 4 pm - listen to Ukrainian music performed by displaced women
