Book online to join a guided tour of this unique bobbin mill and a demonstration of how wooden bobbins were made.

Stott Park is the last surviving example of a Lakeland bobbin mill. At the height of the industrial revolution this little mill turned out somewhere in the region of a quarter of a million bobbins per week. Come along to find out more about the people who worked here and to see the lathes in action.

Accessibility details

Disabled parking is available in the lower car park. The floor of the old mill is cobbled and uneven. A section of the tour involves climbing a flight of steps - a member of the team will be available to explain the upper floor if you are not able to go up the stairs.
