Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens

We're thrilled to take part in Heritage Open Days, offering free entry to our Historic House, Chapels, Gardens and Exhibitions on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 September 2026, from 10:00 until 16:00.

Every corner of Ushaw holds a surprise, ready to inspire and amaze. Wander through the stunning gardens and grounds, admire breathtaking architecture, and immerse yourself in centuries of art, history and heritage.

One of Britain’s best places to see Gothic Revival, Georgian and Victorian architecture, much of the splendid design and craftsmanship on show at Ushaw is the work of Augustus Pugin, his sons and grandsons.

Guided tours will be available, more information coming soon.
