Visit a Working Radio Station

Studio Centre, Thorngate Hall, Bury House, Bury Road, Gosport, Hampshire, PO12 3PX

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

This is your chance to visit Gosport Hospital Radio, LIVE, and see what happens, how it happens, warts and all...

Only six people at a time will fit inside the little studio space, so these tours will be small but interesting! You'll also visit the Green Room and hear the history of Gosport’s Hospital Radio station, and how it operates nowadays.

Gosport Hospital Radio, run by volunteers, serves the patients, staff and visitors to the War Memorial Hospital, and the wider community in Gosport, Fareham, and Lee-on-the-Solent. It broadcasts online, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. It is the only radio station in the Gosport community, and has been in operation since 1993.

As a registered charity, they rely completely on the love of music from their volunteer supporters and charitable donations from the public and local businesses. This dedicated team of unpaid volunteers keeps Gosport Hospital Radio on the air.
