Enjoy free entry to Wallington on Sunday 14 and Monday 15 September 2025.

Sitting in a rural corner of Northumberland yet only 20 miles north west of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Wallington is a large estate where a historical house meets rolling hills, extensive woodland and a walled garden. Take time to explore and discover the variety of spaces, both indoors and out and keep your eyes peeled for the native wildlife. For an active adventure, take to the Dragon cycle trail on two wheels and be inspired by far-reaching views across the Northumbrian countryside (cycle hire open weekends in term time - see website for details). Once home to the unconventional and socialist Trevelyan family, the informal house displays beautiful collections, whilst the four outdoor playparks capture the spirit of the adventurous Trevelyan children. Refuel at the Clocktower café with hot and cold refreshments daily. Discover the walled garden kiosk open daily, as well as the kiosk and ice cream parlour in the courtyard, Dragon kiosk and wood-fired pizza van in the west woods, all of which are open on weekends. Treat yourself to gifts and souvenirs from the shops and plant centre open daily.

Directions:
Arriving by road: A1 north to Newcastle then 20 miles north-west (A696, airport/Ponteland road), and turn off on B6342 to Cambo. A1 south to Morpeth (A192) then 12 miles west (B6343) Parking: Car parking is free for members and is included in the ticket price for non-members. Twelve 11kW electric vehicle charging points are available in the main car park. Chargers can be accessed using mobile app, RFID card, or contactless payment device. Visit our EV charging provider RAW Charging's website www.rawcharging.com/drivers to download the app in advance. Drivers will require their own cables to charge.
