Voices From Winchester's Past - A Heritage Trail & Quest
College Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23
As part of this year’s Heritage Open Days, Hampshire History Trust have compiled a Winchester city centre trail that brings “Everyday Histories” to life.
This self-guided trail and quest will take you on a 2 mile walk around Winchester that will reveal some of the stories of ordinary people (Winchester residents) through the ages.
The Trail also contains a "Hospital Quest" with a set of clues to finding key information to complete the fascinating story of Winchester’s Hospital. Upon completing the Quest, you can collect a token prize from the Winchester Heritage Open Days team at the Festival HQ in The Brooks Shopping Center (dates and times below).
You can collect your trail guides from the Winchester Heritage Open Days Festival HQ in The Brooks Shopping Centre on the below dates:
Saturday 12th September: 09:00 to 16:00
Sunday 13th September: 10:00 to 16:00
Saturday 19th September: 09:00 to 16:00
Sunday 20th September: 10:00 to 16:00

The route of the trail is mostly flat, but crosses roads and uneven pavements. Caution should be taken when crossing roads, ensuring this is done at pedestrian crossings where possible. Public toilets can be found at St Maurice's Covert on High Street.
