Walking Tour of Corby Town Centre

The Corby Cube, George Street, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN17 1QG

  • 19 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Come and join our Heritage Team for a walking tour of Corby Town Centre, exploring the ever-changing architecture over the years, with an emphasis on the ‘Brutalist’ architecture evident throughout the town.

Join us from 10.45 in front of the Corby Cube with the tour beginning from 11am. You will join Billy Dalziel, the Heritage Officer, for an informative and entertaining tour of the Town Centre and how the impact of the steelworks has seen the town transform across the decades.

The tour will take approximately an hour and will return to The Corby Cube at the end, where you could then take in the local food and beverage choices before heading over to The Corby Heritage Centre based in the Olde Village from 1pm.

Back at The Corby Heritage Centre, Billy and the team will be on hand to show the ‘Steel Town Tales’ either on VR Headsets or on the screen. Furthermore, after a recent ‘New Towns’ conference Billy attended recently in Birmingham, he will be able to demonstrate how the Olde Village and New Town have changed in terms of architecture, communities and space and how it can form a brighter future.
