Explore the architecture and features of the Edwardian former Walkley New Reform Club and meet the Walkley Historians.

A chance to meet the Walkley Historians in the former Walkley New reform Club which has retained many original features in what the Pevsner Guide describes as “minimal art nouveau style”

The event will visit the Ruskin Hall with its sprung dance floor and stage, the original Snooker Hall, the WW1 memorial window and the Appleyard Room named after founder Councillor Walter Appleyard. The historians will also display a selection of local photos, maps, census material, books and merchandise.
